Well I eventually finished my cupboard this weekend. After painting it I had to apply two coats of the crackle base, then the crackle and followed by the antiquing stain. Because the cupboard was white it was very hard to see the crackles start when I applied that medium, so I only got to see them once I put the antique stain on. I love the outcome. It's imperfect and it looks like an old farm house cupboard - just the look I was going for. I will definitely try this again, but maybe with a different color base paint. Not it's time for me to tackle my dining room table!

ReplyDeleteThe author had some finger trouble. It's freezing here!!!
ReplyDeleteIt looks great. Well done. Do you wanna come over and do mine??? I'd love to give some of my furniture a new look but don't think I am brave enough with the paint. Will stick to soft furnishings and my sewing machine.
