Meet Mike

My darling husband, Mike, just loves to have fun and this photo totally captures that. He had us all in hysterics last night when he put on this wig and picked up the guitar. Go Mike!!

Easter 2009

We had such a wonderful Easter day yesterday. It started with an egg hunt - inside of course as it had rained the previous day and it's still really cold. The boys then proceeded to have chocolate for breakfast and then a quick rush to get ready for church. Church was amazing - they had a choir for worship for the first time and they did an outstanding job. The sermon was also very challenging, about overcoming evil with good. After church we came home and joined our annual neighbourhood easter egg hunt. The kids had fun, although we still didn't get to meet any new neighbours. I then got an hour to myself in which I had a short nap and got to read some magazines. I then made a starter and wrapped some gifts and off we went to the Compitiello's. We had the most wonderful time there with our friends and their family. The food kept coming and we ate for hours! It was so delicious. When we got home we all crashed. We are so blessed to have such amazing friends here, thanks Cindy for such a special Easter celebration and for including us in your family.

Hiking

During the Easter vacation this past week a group of us mom's took our kids to the Welwyn Preserve for a hike. It was so good to be able to get out of the house, get some fresh air and enjoy nature for a few hours. The best part was that there were signs of spring everywhere, just can't wait till it's all in full bloom. My three boys just love to be outside exploring and they loved the hike. Cameron colllected enough sticks to start a bonfire, but he was a great sport carrying them all the way back to the car!

Technologically Dependant

Well my PC crashed last week and I'm feeling totally lost without it. It just goes to show how totally dependant I am on it. Not being able to search the web and do the research I'd like to is killing me! I get my fix at night when Mike comes home and I can sneak in some time on his laptop, not enough though. I'm hoping it'll be fixed in the next few days, but then again with technology you never know. Luckily Mike just got me a blackberry, so I can at least stay in touch with my email, but I don't have your emails - you need to email me first! All those email addresses are in my pc that I'm hoping we'll be able to get out again some time soon! This week I have all my boys at home on Easter vacation and I have the 'spring cleaning' bug! Needless to say the boys are not enjoying that. I'm desperately trying to teach them that less is more, but they're still having a hard time giving up those things they really don't need anymore. I am also in the process of setting up a business, now that I have my greencard. Although that too is now on hold a bit without a pc, so watch this space for more information about that exciting new development.
